AI4Europe, funded under the Horizon Europe programme, was one of the projects responsible for the management, development, and facilitation of the AI-on-Demand platform (AIoD).
AI4Europe builded on the work of the AI4EU project, as well as on the evolving ecosystem of European-funded projects related to AI. The aim was to bring the fragmented European AI landscape into one community-driven platform that boosts AI research, enables collaboration, offers ready, easy-to-use AI tools and resources, and bridges the gap between research and industry.
The consortium consisted of 24 organizations around Europe, Aalto University (more specifically, CKIR) being one of them. When the project ended in 2025, another EU-funded project working on the AIoD platform, DeployAI, took over the platform. CKIR is also a member of the DeployAI consortium.
